Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular and scenic trekking adventures, leading trekkers into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks. This moderate trek passes through diverse landscapes including terraced farmland, rhododendron forests, waterfalls, and traditional Gurung villages before reaching the breathtaking alpine amphitheater of Annapurna Base Camp.

Starting from Pokhara, the trail ascends through charming villages such as Chhomrong and Bamboo into the high mountain sanctuary. Trekkers finally reach Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m), where a spectacular 360° panorama of Annapurna I, Machapuchare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and surrounding peaks creates one of the most dramatic mountain settings in the Himalayas.
