Lumbini Religious Tour

Our first day begins with an exciting journey to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. After breakfast, we depart from Kathmandu or Pokhara, enjoying the scenic roads and the magnificent view of the Himalayas along the way. En route, we pass through small villages, lush green farmlands, and traditional Nepali settlements, offering a glimpse into local life. Upon arrival, we check in to our comfortable hotel and take a short rest before heading out for an introductory walk around Lumbini. We can visit the sacred Lumbini Garden, marvel at the Mayadevi Temple, and witness the serene pond where Queen Mayadevi is believed to have bathed before Buddha’s birth. This evening, we gather for a briefing about the sacred sites we will explore in depth during the tour.

After breakfast, our journey in Lumbini begins with a visit to the iconic Mayadevi Temple, where we can admire the ancient marker stone and the nativity pond, reflecting centuries of devotion. Trekking to the Ashokan Pillar nearby, we explore one of the most historically significant monuments that dates back to Emperor Ashoka’s reign. Our next stop is the Lumbini Museum, which houses rare artefacts, sculptures, and inscriptions that detail Buddha’s life and teachings. From there, we stroll through the monastic zone, witnessing beautifully crafted monasteries built by different countries, each representing unique architectural and cultural styles. In the afternoon, we visit the Sacred Garden, where quiet meditation and reflection allow us to connect deeply with the spiritual energy of the birthplace. Our final stop includes the World Peace Pagoda, where the magnificent view of the Himalayas complements the serene spiritual ambiance.
