Overview

The Manaslu Circuit Trek via Barpak is an extended and culturally rich variation of the classic Manaslu route. This itinerary begins from the historic village of Barpak, offering a deeper cultural experience before joining the traditional Manaslu Circuit trail.

Barpak is famously known as the epicenter of the 2015 earthquake and the hometown of Victoria Cross recipient Kulbir Thapa. The trek gradually ascends through traditional Gurung villages, terraced farmlands, and scenic ridges before merging with the Budhi Gandaki valley route.

The trail circles the majestic Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) and crosses the challenging Larkya La Pass (5,106 m). The region lies within the protected Manaslu Conservation Area, offering pristine landscapes, Tibetan-influenced culture, monasteries, glaciers, and dramatic Himalayan panoramas.

This route is ideal for trekkers seeking a less-crowded, culturally immersive, and adventurous Himalayan experience.
