Our first day begins with an exciting drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, winding through picturesque valleys and terraced fields. Along the way, we see traditional Nepali villages where children wave as we pass, and rivers glisten under the sun. From the highway, the distant Himalayan peaks start to appear, teasing us with the adventure ahead. After breakfast in a cozy roadside café, we reach Pokhara, greeted by the calm waters of Phewa Lake reflecting the Annapurna range. This wonderful area is perfect for a short lakeside walk, exploring local shops, or just enjoying a cup of Nepali tea. In the evening, we soak in the vibrant atmosphere at lakeside restaurants while planning our trek.

After breakfast, we drive to Kande, the starting point of our trek, where the forest trail immediately surrounds us with the fresh scent of rhododendrons. The path gently climbs through green landscapes, revealing glimpses of Machapuchare’s majestic peak as we move higher. Villages along the way offer us a peek into local life, with stone houses and farm animals adding charm to the route. Forest Camp is nestled in a peaceful woodland, where the sounds of birds and occasional waterfalls create a serene environment. From here, we enjoy our first views of the Annapurna South range and Hiunchuli, an exciting preview of what lies ahead. The day ends with a quiet evening in nature, reflecting on our journey so far.

Our trek to High Camp takes us through dense forests that gradually open to alpine landscapes, revealing sweeping mountain vistas. The trail weaves past mossy rocks, bubbling streams, and colourful wildflowers, providing us with countless opportunities to stop and admire the scenery. From higher points, we can see Mardi Himal’s snow-capped peak and the surrounding Annapurna range, a view that motivates us to keep going. This wonderful area offers a quiet escape from the hustle of daily life, allowing us to connect with nature on every step. High Camp itself is perched on a ridge, providing panoramic views that stretch across valleys and peaks, especially magical at sunset. The evening sky fills with stars, reminding us of the remoteness and beauty of the Himalayas.

After breakfast, we begin the hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp, the highlight of our trek. The trail climbs steep ridges with incredible views of Machapuchare’s fishtail peak, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli surrounding us like guardians of the mountains. From the Base Camp, we experience 360-degree panoramas of the Himalayan range, a sight that fills us with awe and excitement. This wonderful area is dotted with small rocky clearings perfect for resting and capturing photos. After soaking in the scenery, we descend back to High Camp along the same scenic route, enjoying the changing light and perspective on the mountains. The day blends adventure and serenity, creating unforgettable memories.

After breakfast, we descend from High Camp toward Siding Village, walking through forests, open meadows, and terraced farmland. Along the way, we meet locals who greet us warmly, sharing glimpses of their daily life and culture. Rivers and small waterfalls line the path, adding refreshing moments to our journey. From Siding Village, we take a vehicle back to Pokhara, enjoying the lush valley views from the road. This wonderful area of Pokhara gives us time to relax, stroll along Phewa Lake, or browse local handicrafts before the journey home. The day offers a perfect mix of trekking satisfaction and leisure.

Our last day begins with a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, retracing roads through rivers, terraced fields, and picturesque villages. Along the way, we reflect on the breathtaking mountain views and the trails we conquered, remembering the experiences and interactions with local communities. From the highlands to the plains, we witness Nepal’s diverse landscapes change before our eyes. Kathmandu welcomes us with its historic charm, offering opportunities to explore temples, markets, and cultural landmarks. After breakfast and the drive, we take time to reminisce about this wonderful area and the memories created on the Mardi Himal Trek. The day marks the conclusion of our journey, leaving us inspired and rejuvenated.
