Your adventure begins with an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the world’s most thrilling mountain airstrips. After landing, you’ll meet your trekking guide and start a gentle trek toward Phakding, passing through small Sherpa villages and lush forests. The trail is mostly downhill, making it a comfortable first day to adjust to the altitude. You’ll cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and enjoy beautiful mountain views along the way.

Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Everest region, following the river and crossing several high suspension bridges. The trail gradually becomes steeper as you approach Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Khumbu region. You’ll pass through Monjo, where entry permits are checked before entering Sagarmatha National Park. The final climb to Namche is challenging but rewarding, with your first glimpse of Mount Everest on a clear day.

This day is essential for acclimatisation to reduce the risk of altitude sickness. Instead of resting all day, you’ll take a short hike to higher elevations like the Everest View Hotel or nearby viewpoints. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You’ll also explore Namche Bazaar, visiting local markets, bakeries, and museums to learn about Sherpa culture.

After breakfast, you’ll leave Namche and follow a scenic trail with stunning mountain views. The path descends slightly before climbing through rhododendron forests toward Tengboche. Along the way, you may spot wildlife like Himalayan tahr or colorful pheasants. Tengboche is famous for its monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, where you can experience peaceful Buddhist rituals.

This is one of the most exciting days as you move closer to Everest Base Camp. The trail passes through Dingboche and Lobuche, with landscapes becoming more rugged and alpine. You’ll walk alongside glaciers and rocky paths, surrounded by towering peaks. Due to the altitude, the trek is slower and requires steady pacing, taking about 6–7 hours. The atmosphere feels truly remote and adventurous as you approach the base camp region.

Early in the morning, you’ll hike to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for a close-up sunrise view of Mount Everest. The climb is steep but short, and the golden light over the Himalayas is unforgettable. After enjoying the views and taking photos, you’ll descend and begin your return trek. The journey back continues downhill, making it easier on your body after days of climbing.

On your final trekking day, you’ll retrace your steps back to Lukla through familiar trails and villages. The descent is quicker but still requires careful footing on rocky paths. After reaching Lukla, you’ll celebrate the successful completion of your trek with your team. The next morning flight returns you to Kathmandu, offering one last aerial view of the Himalayas.
