Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in, you can relax or explore the nearby streets of Thamel. A pre-trek briefing will be arranged in the evening.

Today is a free day for rest, gear checks, or exploring Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. It’s also a good time to meet your guide and finalize permits. Make any last-minute purchases for the trek.

Start your journey with a long but scenic drive through hills, rivers, and villages to reach Soti Khola in the Gorkha region. The road is rough in places but the views of rural Nepal and terraced landscapes are captivating. Overnight in a teahouse near the river.

Begin trekking through sal forests and rocky ridges along the Budi Gandaki River. Cross several suspension bridges and pass small villages with views of waterfalls and steep cliffs. Machha Khola is a small riverside settlement where you’ll rest for the night.

Follow a trail that winds through narrow gorges, past hot springs, and across multiple river crossings. After climbing up stone stairways and through forested trails, reach Jagat, a small village with stone houses and a checkpoint for the Manaslu Conservation Area.

Trek through lush forests and terraced fields while enjoying glimpses of snow-capped peaks. The trail leads through villages like Philim and Ekle Bhatti, gradually becoming more remote as you approach Deng, a Tibetan-influenced settlement.

The trail climbs steeply through dense forest and crosses several suspension bridges. Today marks a transition from Hindu to Buddhist culture, with prayer flags and mani walls beginning to appear. Namrung offers stunning views of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu.

Continue ascending through alpine forests and traditional stone villages. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Himalchuli and Manaslu. Lho is a culturally rich village with a large monastery and spectacular mountain scenery.

Trek through the scenic village of Shyala with 360° views of the mountains. Reach Samagaon, one of the largest villages in the region, known for its cultural richness and views of Mount Manaslu’s north face. Spend time exploring the village and local monastery.

Use this day to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. Optional hikes include a visit to Pungyen Gompa or Manaslu Base Camp for stunning views. This helps your body adjust before heading to higher elevations.

A shorter day with a gradual ascent through barren landscapes and yak pastures. The trail offers wide Himalayan vistas as you approach Samdo, a Tibetan refugee village near the border. Spend the afternoon exploring or relaxing in this windy, high-altitude settlement.

Today’s trek is short but important for acclimatization before the pass. Walk through alpine terrain and cross a wooden bridge over a glacier-fed stream. Reach Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi), the base camp for Larkya La Pass, and rest for an early morning start.

Start early for the challenging but rewarding climb to Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the trek. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. Descend a long, steep trail to Bimthang, a stunning glacial valley.

Descend through rhododendron and pine forests with excellent views of the mountains behind. Cross glacial streams and pass through yak pastures and small villages. Reach Tilije, a large Gurung village known for its apple orchards and warm hospitality.

A short trek leads you to Dharapani, where the Manaslu and Annapurna trails converge. From here, take a long drive back to Kathmandu via Besisahar, passing through scenic hills and countryside. Upon arrival, enjoy a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Depart with unforgettable memories of the Manaslu Circuit’s wild beauty, high mountain passes, and rich Himalayan culture.
