Overview
The Tsum Valley Trek is a hidden Himalayan journey into one of Nepal’s most secluded and spiritually rich regions. Opened to trekkers in 2008, this sacred valley preserves ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture, traditional lifestyles, and untouched mountain landscapes.
Located within the protected Manaslu Conservation Area, the trek follows the Budhi Gandaki River before branching into the mystical Tsum Valley, often referred to as the “Hidden Valley of Happiness.”
The region is home to centuries-old monasteries, mani walls, chortens, and remote stone villages. One of the spiritual highlights is visiting Mu Gompa, the largest monastery in the valley, situated near the Tibetan border.
This trek is ideal for those seeking cultural immersion, peaceful trails, and a true off-the-beaten-path Himalayan experience.
